MX890Brakes
The 890 pre-dates the MX-1000 and along with Shimano was the brake of choice before the “1000” came out. Perfect for all 80’s restorations especially those bikes dating from 1982 and before (Diamond Back Silver Streak, Torker 280, etc) these were still used into the mid-80’s as a cheaper alternative to the 1000.

These new versions fromDia-Compeactually look nicerin our opinion than the new MX1000 and they come in Black, Red, Blue, Gold Silver or White. Matched up with a 132MT45 lever you have great looking brake set that only the cognoscenti will know aren’t the originals.

132MT45 Levers
Pre-dating the tech-II and Tech-III, these iconic levers were supplied on most bikes in the 70’s right into the 1980’s- Mongoose, Diamondback, Raleigh, Redline, Torker, you name it. In fact, most bikes that you see with Tech-III’s now would have had these instead.

45 degree bend to suit most period bars. We used to custom bend these back in the day and used them well into the later 80’s as they had more leverage than the small levers.

Why not add Kool Stop International brake pads for that 80’s pro look.
